This week at Couts, we start a new sermon series that will take us through the great day of Pentecost. We are now in the season after Easter. After such a high, holy, and miraculous day, a day in which we feel so certain about our believe in Jesus, we can wake up on Monday morning not quite sure if our experience was real. Was the music really that good? Did I really understand the preacher? Was the church really that welcoming?
We are not alone in those moments of disbelief. The disciples felt much the same way in the days after Jesus' death. They hid in fear. They didn't want to believe anyone's account of the risen Christ until they saw him themselves.
I hope you'll join us in worship for the next few weeks as we explore some of those hinderances to our belief in Jesus. Maybe we can overcome them together and strengthen our faith.
